Abstract

The invention discloses a base station for automatically replacing battery packs or payloads and a use method of the base station. The base station provides a landing surface for accommodating a mobile platform and comprises a manipulator controlled by a manipulator warehouse to access a resource bank. The base station is operable to determine the position of the mobile platform on the landing surface and to move the manipulator to the mobile platform. Therefore, a base station system is advantageously suitable for the low precision landing of the mobile platform and further enables the extension and autonomous operation of the mobile platform to replace the battery packs and the payloads without user interference.
