AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This technology allows us to accurately identify which genes have been mutating during pregnancy or childbirth by analyzing specific DNA sequences called Short Tandem Repeats (STR). These STR segments indicate that certain parts of these genes may be involved with diseases such as cancer risk factors like lithium metabolism disorders. By comparing this analysis data from different populations we aim to make better predictions about how likely they will develop various conditions related to neonatal growth and developmental problems associated therewith.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving understanding how different types of nutrients are involved with changes in metabolism associated with health conditions such as childhood necrosis or inflamed bowel syndrome (IBBS). These diseasms can lead to serious medical issues like sepsis due to excessive absorption through various organs including liver cells.

[0075] 1. SNP detection of Fut2 gene in Chinese mothers

[0076] (1) Sample collection

[0077] Subject mothers: 56 healthy pregnant women (number #1~#56) who were 34 weeks pregnant were selected from Dalian Maternal and Child Health Hospital and Suihua No. It mainly includes age, physical signs, maternal history, current and previous health history, dietary habits and physical activity level, and history of medication and supplement intake. Record the baby's mode of delivery (caesarean section or vaginal), baby's sex, weight, length, and gestational age at birth, and provide a health questionnaire about yourself and the baby during the follow-up survey. The subjects must agree to accept the doctor's guidance and training during breastfeeding, and provide appropriate samples during breastfeeding.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for detecting FUT2 gene types by fluorescent quantitative PCR and belongs to the technical field of molecular biology. The fluorescent quantitative PCR methodis used to detect the FUT2 gene types to obtain whole blood genomic DNA of samples to be detected; and the fluorescence quantitative PCR detection is performed using primers and fluorescent substances: A/T mutations of rs1047781 locus are determined according to a melting peak position of a melting curve after the PCR detection, thereby estimating whether the types of the FUT2 gene are secreted or non-secreted. The method can specifically conduct single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis of the fucosyltransferase gene FUT2 in Chinese population to define the secreted/non-secreted type andpredict fucosylated human milk oligosaccharide (fHMOs) levels and abundances of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in breast-fed neonates.
