Abstract

Provided are a filter cleaning device and an air conditioner, the filter cleaning device including: a flat filter, a brush, a contact member, a driving unit (730), and a controller (750). The drive unit has a first motor (631) for moving the brush and a second motor (671) for moving the contact member. The controller is configured to control the drive unit so that the brush and the contact member move from one end side of the filter to the other end side with respect to a first moving direction extending along the filter surface, and is configured to control the first motor and the second end side. At least one of the two motors is controlled such that the gap between the brush and the contact member is positioned within a predetermined range relative to the first direction of movement.
