Embodiment Construction

[0039] The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, or apparatuses that support feedback-based retransmissions using mixed-duration TTIs in wireless communications. In various examples, the described techniques provide for retransmitting one or more CBs of a TB using the same or a different duration TTI than that used for the TB transmission. In some cases, retransmissions may only include CBs from the originally sent TB (e.g., may not include CBs from subsequent TBs). Alternatively, retransmissions may in some cases include CBs from the originally sent TB multiplexed with CBs of subsequent TBs. In some cases, the second TTI used for the retransmission may have a second TTI duration that is shorter than the first TTI duration of the TTI used for the transmission of the TB. The second TTI can have CBs from only the first TB, and the CBs can have the same HARQ index, and the same HARQ process can be used in the first TTI with the first TTI duration and...

Abstract

Techniques are described for providing generation of a first transport block (TB) comprising a plurality of codes transmitted to a receiver during a first transmission time interval (TTI) having a first duration block (CB); and retransmitting any unsuccessfully received CBs in a second TTI having a duration selected from a plurality of available TTI durations. The second TTI may have a second TTI duration shorter than the first TTI duration and may have CBs from only the first TB. One or more of the duration of the second TTI or frequency resources may be selected based on the number of CBs retransmitted in the second TTI.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] This patent application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62 / 460,731, filed February 17, 2017, by Sun et al., entitled "Feedback-Based Retransmission Using Mixed-Duration Transmission Time Intervals" and filed by Sun et al. Priority to US Patent Application Serial No. 15 / 710,698, filed September 20, entitled "Feedback-Based Retransmission Using Mixed-Duration Transmission Time Intervals," each of which is assigned to the assignee of the present application. technical field [0003] The following relates generally to wireless communications, and more specifically to feedback-based retransmissions using mixed-duration transmission time intervals. Background technique [0004] Wireless multiple-access technologies have been adopted in various telecommunication standards to provide a common protocol that enables different wireless devices to communicate on a city, national, regional, or even global level. An exemplary ...
