Embodiment Construction

[0025] This application is proposed based on the following environment, that is, the types of RTP data packets sent by the sender are different. Some RTP data packets belong to key frames, which will have a great impact on video quality after loss, such as I frames. Some RTP data packets belong to non-key frames, which have little impact on video quality after being lost, such as P frames.

[0026] This application is to let the receiving end know which of the RTP data packets discarded by the network belong to key frames and which belong to non-key frames. In this way, the receiving end only notifies the sending end to resend the RTP data packet belonging to the key frame, thereby effectively improving the video transmission and playback quality under the premise of relatively small bandwidth consumption.

[0027] see figure 1 , The method for solving video frame packet loss by using the RTP extension header provided by the present application includes the following steps. ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for solving video frame packet loss by using an RTP extension header. The method comprises steps of S10, providing a new RTP extension head, wherein a head identifierof the new RTP extension head has two values; S20, the sending end only carrying the RTP extension header of which the header identifier is the first value in n RTP data packets corresponding to the non-key frame behind the key frame; S30, when the receiving end finds that the RTP data packet is lost, judging whether the lost RTP data packet belongs to a key frame or not according to the RTP extension header of which the header identifier is the first value; if yes, the receiving end sending an RTP data packet to the sending end, and the RTP data packet carrying the RTP extension header with the header identifier being the second value; S40, the sending end resending the corresponding RTP data packet to the receiving end according to the RTP extension head of which the head identifier is the second value. According to the method, only the key frame is retransmitted, so that the consumed bandwidth is not very large, but the video transmission and playing quality can be effectively improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to a video data transmission method, in particular to a solution to video data packet loss during transmission. Background technique [0002] In network communication, video calls use more bandwidth than audio calls. In order to reduce the bandwidth usage of a video call, a general video encoder encodes an original video stream into different types of video frames during encoding. For example, the H.264 video compression standard defines I frames, P frames, B frames, and the like. The I frame is Intra-coded. The advantage is that it does not rely on other frames for independent decoding. The disadvantage is that the encoded data is relatively large. Both P frame and B frame use interframe prediction. Compared with I frame, its advantage is that the encoded data is smaller and can save bandwidth, but decoding needs to rely on I frame. If the dependent I frame is lost, P frame or B frame Frames cannot be decoded individ...
