The primary mirror position control method comprises the following steps: acquiring a measured value and a given value of the current position of a primary mirror; obtaining current values of a plurality of pitch axis parameters of the primary mirror; determining a mapping relationship between an error and the plurality of pitch axis parameters based on a relationship between a current error value and current values of the plurality ofpitch axis parameters, the current error value being a difference between a measured value of the current position and a given value; and compensating the position control of the primary mirror by using the error. According to the embodiment of the invention, the mapping relationship between the error and the plurality of pitch axis parameters can be determined, and then the error is utilized tocompensate the position control of the primary mirror, so that the precision of the position control of the primary mirror is improved.
