Abstract

The invention discloses a laser fusion ignition device. The device comprises a laser source, two identical hollow compression cones which are separated from each other and used for being filled with fuel for fusion, wherein a hole is formed in the cone top of each compression cone, the cone bottom of each compression cone is open and the two compression cones are made of a metal, coaxial and opposite in cone top, and an ignition assembly which is used for heating the fuel which is sprayed out of the holes of the two compression cones and collides with each other, so that fusion ignition is carried out on the fuel. A laser source generates a plurality of paths of laser pulses to irradiate the fuel from the cone bottom of each of the two compression cones to the cone top direction, so that the fuel is oppositely sprayed out from the holes of the two compression cones and collides with each other. The laser fusion ignition device can reduce the energy of laser for implementing fusion compression and ignition, and can improve the stability of laser fusion ignition. The invention further discloses a laser fusion ignition method.
