The electric heater further comprises an angle detection assembly, wherein the angle detection assembly comprises a trigger part and a sensor, and the sensor collects included angle information of the adjacent half shells by detecting the position of the trigger part; and a controller used for receiving the included angle information of the adjacent half shells and reducing the power upper limit of heating bodies in the half shells alongwith approaching of the adjacent half shells. According to the electric heater, the power upper limit of the heating bodies in the half shells is reduced along with approaching of the adjacent half shells, and potential safety hazards caused by high-power work of the two heating bodies after the electric heater is folded are eliminated.
