Abstract

The invention provides a housing and a joint mechanism. The housing (101) is provided with: a housing body (110) in which at least one motor or mechanical component (130, 140, 150) is housed, and a front panel (115) and a pair of side panels (112, 113) are coupled to a bottom plate (111) so as to have an opening (K); a cover (120) for closing the opening (K); and a gasket (160) that is interposed between the edge (Ka) of the housing main body (110) and the edge (Kb) of the cover (120) and seals the interior of the housing main body (110). The edge portion (Ka) of each of the side panels (112, 113) has a curved shape.
