Embodiment Construction

[0055] The present invention relates to a continuous glucose monitor and techniques for authenticating multiple displays, providing secure data transmission to multiple displays, and coordinating interactive commands and data updates between multiple displays.

[0056] figure 1 An exemplary system for monitoring glucose levels is shown. see figure 1 , the continuous glucose sensor system 100 obtains a series of measurements related to the user's glucose level. For example, continuous glucose sensor system 100 may be worn on the patient's abdominal region. A small sensor 103 may be placed on or inside the patient to obtain a reading of the glucose value using, for example, a subcutaneous glucose or blood glucose reading. The sensor can be placed in the patient using a needle that extends into the patient, deploys the sensor and then withdraws and can be discarded. An applicator or other similar device can contain a needle and can be used to insert the sensor. Continuous gl...

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a continuous glucose monitor for wirelessly transmitting data related to glucose values to a plurality of displays. Systems and methods are disclosed for limiting the number of display devices that can connect to a continuous glucose transmitter. In addition, security, including hashing techniques and a changing application key, can be used to provide secure communications between the continuous glucose transmitter and the displays. Other embodiments relate to a continuous glucose monitor and techniques for authenticating multiple displays, providing secure data transmissions to multiple displays, and coordinating the interaction of commands and data updates between multiple displays.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of a Chinese patent application with an application date of January 20, 2016, an application number of 201680003631.6, and the title of the invention: "Communication between a continuous glucose monitor and multiple display devices". technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a continuous glucose sensor that transmits glucose level related data to multiple displays in a secure manner. Background technique [0003] Continuous glucose monitors are gaining in popularity as an easy way to monitor glucose levels. In the past, users have sampled their glucose levels several times throughout the day, such as in the morning, around noon, and in the evening. The level can be measured by taking a small blood sample and measuring the glucose level with a test strip or glucometer. However, this technique has drawbacks because the user may prefer not to have to take a blood sample, and the user does not know what their g...
