Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method of managing a media library, a corresponding system and a computer program product. In accordance with an embodiment, a method of managing an automotive infotainment media library in which media content files originate from a set of source devices and are accessible by at least one media player application having a plurality of configurations via respective playback paths, the method comprising parsing the media content files in the media library to create at least one index table comprising a respective list of identifiers associated with the media content file, wherein the media content files are parsed according to at least one of the original devices in the set of source devices, according to one of a plurality of configurations of the at least one media player application, or according to folders that group the media content files in the media library.
