Abstract

The invention provides a path optimization method and device which are applied to an SDN controller. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, determining M target paths for bearing traffic, and then, determining overlapped path segments which appear repeatedly and have the same head and tail nodes among the M target paths; for each overlapped path segment, determining whether at least one link label corresponding to the overlapped path segment on the target path to which the overlapped path segment belongs can be replaced by a tail node label of the overlapped path segment so as to shorten the label depth of the target path; and determining whether the label stacks of the at least two target paths to which the overlapped path segment belongs are the same or not after label replacement, and if so, combining the at least two target paths into one path represented by the label stack after label replacement so as to reduce the number of paths. The number of forwarding paths needing to be maintained is reduced, so that the processing pressure of the SDN controller can be effectively reduced; meanwhile, the label depth is shortened, so that the influence on the forwarding performance of the network node can be effectively reduced.
