Embodiment Construction

[0012] figure 1 The illustrated safe 1 is designed for safekeeping valuable documents, such as banknotes, checks, etc., and comprises a plurality of units 11-17 which can each be used to receive a plurality of valuable documents. The safe is entirely equipped with a so-called shell or shell protection device 101, which acts as a visual indication of an attempt to break into the safe.

[0013] Most of the aforementioned units each include a breaking device 112-162 (see figure 2 ), which has a detonator or other starting device, and a dye or some other destructive substance (such as glue) for locally destroying the active securities.

[0014] The destroying elements are actuated by a processor unit 102 depending on whether the respective unit contains a document of value at that moment.

[0015] figure 2 is a schematic diagram showing the breaking devices 112-162, each of which includes a dye containing part 1121-1621 and an explosive part 1122-1622. A multi-wire cable 10...

Abstract

A safe for accomodating valuable documents includes one or more units (1-17), each of which is intended to accomodate several valuable documents and is equipped with destructive devices (112-172) for local destruction of valuable documents in respective units when an attempt to break into the safe (1) is made. Each of the destruction devices (e.g. 112) includes at least one container (31) disposed adjacent a valuable document wind-up drum (30). The container includes a peripheral, circular continuous recess or channel (311) intended for destructive material (33) and facing towards the exposed edges of valuable documents. The opening (3111, 3211) of the recess or channel (311, 321) is covered with a ring-shaped plastic or steel net. The recess contains dye capsules (33) and a ring-shaped fuse (3113, 3213) for activation of the dye when an attempt to break into the safe (1) is made.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to safes for the safekeeping of valuable documents such as banknotes, checks, etc., and more particularly to safes comprising one or more units individually adapted for a plurality of valuable documents and equipped with destruction means, the Destruction devices are used to locally destroy the value documents in the individual units in an attempt to break into the safe. Background technique [0002] US 2,981,492 and US 4,337,864 disclose a safe with a reel for tightening up valuable documents, however, these safes do not have a breaking device and thus cannot securely store valuable documents. Contents of the invention [0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a safe with a destroying device capable of properly keeping valuable securities. [0004] To this end, the present invention provides a safe for the safekeeping of securities and comprising one or more units each for receiving a plurality of secu...
