The refrigerator provided by the invention comprises a refrigerating chamber; the air duct is connected with the refrigerating chamber, a first air door is arranged in the air duct and used for controlling the communication state of the air duct and the refrigerating chamber, and the communication state comprises communication and non-communication; the evaporator is arranged in the air duct, and when the first air door is opened, air in the refrigerating chamber makes contact with the surface of the evaporator for heat exchange; the defrosting assembly comprises a heater, and the heater is used for heating the evaporator; and the controller is used for controlling the matching relation of the state of the heater and the state of the first air door, so that heat energy generated during heating of the heater and heat energy of the refrigerating chamber when the first air door is opened are matched with each other to melt a frost layer on the surface of the evaporator.
