Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for sidelink resource allocation in a user equipment (UE) group, and a method and a system for sidelink resource allocation in a UE group. The method includes the UE receiving a first resource configuration message from a radio access network (RAN) node, where the first resource configuration message includes configuration information of a sidelink resource indicated by a sidelink resource grant and a condition for using the sidelink resource granted by the sidelink resource. The method also includes receiving a second sidelink resource configuration message from a second UE in the group of UEs, where the second sidelink resource configuration message includes an activation indicator for activating at least a portion of the sidelink resources indicated by the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes determining the sidelink resource to be used for sidelink transmission by combining the first sidelink resource configuration message and the second sidelink resource configuration message. The method also includes using the determined sidelink resources for data transmission. Other embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for performing a user equipment (UE) group handover (HO) by the UE.
