Abstract
The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing a network based media processing (NBMP) workflow, and more particularly, to a system and a method for managing a network based media processing (NBMP) workflow. A method is provided that includes a method performed by at least one processor. The method comprises the following steps: exporting an NBMP workflow; obtaining at least one first syntax element indicating at least one task included in the NBMP workflow, at least one input received by the at least one task, or at least one output generated by the at least one task, unnecessary; determining a plurality of necessary tasks based on the at least one first syntax element; and assigning the plurality of necessary tasks to at least one of a media receiver, a media source, and a media processing entity included in the NBMP workflow.
