Abstract

The invention discloses an audio coding method, comprising the following steps: receiving a calibrated reference signal carrying a video information frame in a sequence of video information frames, in which adjacent frames are separated by frame intervals; an audio signal of audio information; analyzing said audio signal to identify characteristics of said audio information; generating a control signal for conveying segment lengths of segments of said audio information in a sequence of overlapping segments, each segment being related to an adjacent segment have respective overlapping intervals between them, and the length of the sequence is equal to the frame interval plus the frame overlapping interval, wherein the segment length is adjusted in response to the characteristics of the audio information; applying adaptive block coding process to overlapping segments in said sequence to generate a plurality of encoded information blocks, wherein said block encoding process is adjusted in response to said control signal; and assembling said plurality of encoded information blocks and carrying control of said segment lengths information to form a frame of encoded information aligned with said reference signal.
