Abstract

A linear compressor is disclosed herein. The linear compressor includes a hermetic container having an inlet and an outlet formed at both ends thereof. A compression unit is installed in the airtight container to compress and discharge the fluid. The compression unit includes a linear motor, a cylinder, and a piston arranged in the cylinder so that the piston performs linear reciprocating motion in the cylinder through the linear motor. The linear compressor further includes a discharge unit assembly provided outside the airtight container before the outlet so that the compressed fluid in the cylinder is discharged through the discharge unit assembly; a container support for supporting the airtight container outside the airtight container; and a shock absorber, It is disposed between the container support and the closed container for shock-absorbing operation.
