A plasma display device including a cover plate, which can ground a directly attached filter, including a plasma display panel including a directly attached filter, a circuit board driving the plasma display panel, a chassis having the plasma display panel and the circuit board mounted thereon, a signal transmitting member electrically connected to the circuit board and the plasma display panel, the signal transmitting member including an integrated circuit chip, and a cover plate mounted to the chassis to face the integrated circuit chip, the cover plate including a contact portion contacting the directly attached filter.
