Embodiment Construction

[0034] As mentioned above, Figures 1a and 1b show prior art copy protection and copy protection removal signals, respectively.

[0035] figure 2 Various waveforms are shown corresponding to the various ways in which the AGC pulse can be delayed to provide the copy protection elimination technique of the present invention. first, figure 2 Waveform D in Fig. 1a shows the AGC pulse and pseudo-sync pulse at the normal position shown previously in Fig. 1a which would result in copy protection. Waveforms A through C show various delays or gaps between the trailing edge of the pseudo-sync pulse and the leading edge of the associated AGC pulse. Waveforms A and B are active in turning off the copy protection signal while waveform C causes the copy protection signal to be partially reduced or turned off. It preferably follows waveforms A and B in order to effectively eliminate the copy protection signal.

Abstract

Disclosed are a method and a device, both of which are used for eliminating the copy protection signals in video signals and for providing the copy protection signals to the video signals. The eliminating technology increases the interval between pulses by a special AGC, normal synchronous or asynchronous pulse shift and modulation. The content disclosed in each embodiment includes that selectively shifting the relative positions of the synchronous / asynchronous or AGC pulses, adjusting the positions of the synchronous / asynchronous and / or AGC pulses and narrowing the synchronous / asynchronous and / or AGC pulses; all the contents are used for providing selective position interval between the synchronous / asynchronous and AGC pulses.
