Embodiment Construction

[0073] figure 1 A device 101 for conveying fine-grained bulk goods is schematically shown. The delivery tube 2 has a locking mechanism 15 which divides the delivery tube 2 into a first section 2a and a second section 2b. The first section 2 a is connected at its first end to the filling line 20 via a locking mechanism 11 . At the second end of section 2 a is a locking mechanism 15 . The second section 2 b has a locking mechanism 15 at its first end and is connected to the output mechanism 8 at its second end via a locking mechanism 18 .

[0074] The first end of the delivery line 2 , that is to say the first end of the first section 2 a of the delivery line, is connected to the pressure delivery device 16 . Furthermore, the first section 2 a is connected to a suction conveying device 3 . The suction conveying mechanism is preferably positioned in the region of the second end of the first section 2 a , that is to say in the region of the locking mechanism 15 . The pressure...

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for pneumatically conveying fine-particle bulk materials, particularly glass fibers. Said device at least comprises: i) a conveyor pipe (2) with a first blocking mechanism (15) which subdivides the conveyor pipe (2) into a first section (2a) located between a first end of the conveyor pipe (2) and the first blocking mechanism (15) and a second section (2b) located between the first blocking mechanism (15) and the second end of the conveyor pipe (2); ii) a filling conduit (20) that is provided with a suction apparatus (24) and a connecting unit (21) at the second end thereof for establishing a connection to a bulk material container, the second end of said filling conduit (20) being joined to the first end of the conveyor pipe (2) via a second blocking mechanism (11); iii) a dispensing mechanism (8) which is connected to the second end of the conveyor pipe (2); iv) a pressurized conveying apparatus (16) that is connected to the first end of the conveyor pipe (2) by means of a blocking mechanism (12); and v) a suction-type conveying apparatus (3) which is joined to the first section (2a) of the conveyor pipe (2) with the aid of a blocking mechanism (10).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device and a method for the pneumatic conveying of fine-grained bulk goods, such as chopped glass fibers for reinforced plastics. Background technique [0002] Glass fibers are used extensively in the production of plastics, especially for the production of glass fiber-reinforced plastics. In this case, enormous costs are required for handling the glass fibers, in particular for conveying and charging the production plant. The need for a location to store fiberglass strands is also enormous. [0003] Glass fibers for reinforcing thermoplastics are generally processed in the form of fiber bundles, so-called chopped fibers. The fiber bundle here consists, for example, of 2000 individual fibers with a typical length of approximately 4.5 mm (diameter of the individual fibers: approximately 10 μm). In conventional plants for the production of glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, chopped glass fibers are mixed, for example, in...
