Benefits of technology

[0005] The present invention provides a book-lamp with a magnifying glass which is not only easily folded for convenient carrying and set-up but also possesses many functions like adjustable illuminating direction, adjustable illuminating angle, and adjustable magnifying glass position. It enhances the practice value of a book-lamp with a magnifying glass.
[0006] The book-lamp with a magnifying glass provided by the present invention includes a lamp base which is the main component used to support the assembly of the lamp, a lamp cover pivotally connected to the lamp base, a “L” type lever pivotally connected to the lamp base and a magnifying glass housing which has a magnifying glass hole centrally bored through to accommodate the magnifying glass, and a lamp handle providing for easy carrying of the book-lamp. Utilizing the “L” type lever the consumer can freely adjust the corresponding location, distance, and angle between the magnifying glass and the light bulb to facilitate his reading.

Problems solved by technology

However, even though the electric lamp provides people with illumination for reading easily at night, the electric lamp alone cannot satisfy the needs of the elderly because of their poor eye sight.
It is, therefore, not convenient to move the conventional book-lamp to another location for reading books.
