Benefits of technology

"The patent describes a process for playing a lottery game. The process includes indicating two price categories of tickets, with the second category having a higher price than the first. The process also includes indicating two partial match prize distributions, one for each price category. The process generates a set of numbers that can be won by a player through a random match with the player's numbers and the numbers on the ticket. The process provides a constant ratio for the second partial match prize distribution, which results in a higher prize for the second category of tickets. The process also provides a variable ratio for the first partial match prize distribution, which results in a higher prize for the first category of tickets. The process generates a set of tickets for each price category and distributes them to players. The technical effect of the process is to provide a more intricate and interesting lottery game experience for players."

Problems solved by technology

One potential problem with the parimutuel model is that a sufficient number of tickets need to be sold in order to provide a reasonable lottery prize.
