Adaptive link status and configuration per the application traffic pattern for UE power saving

A method and device for adaptive link status and configuration per the application traffic pattern for UE power saving. The method includes determining whether a UE power saving parameter is met. When the UE power saving parameter is met, performing a link management solution that includes an early link release procedure for releasing a link and reducing UE power consumption. When the UE power saving parameter is not met, not performing the link management solution that includes the early link release procedure for releasing the link and reducing UE power consumption.

Context release procedures for a user equipment

Embodiments of the disclosure describe a method for managing User Equipment (UE) context release procedures. The method includes transmitting, by a source Next Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) node to a target NG-RAN node, a handover request message to initiate a handover event of a User Equipment (UE). The method includes determining, upon successful completion of the handover event, whether a UE context release message is received prior to a data collection update message from the target NG-RAN node. The method includes maintaining a UE context at the source NG-RAN node, in response to determining that the UE context release message receives prior to the data collection update message from the target NG-RAN node. The method includes releasing the UE context at the source NG-RAN node, in response to determining that the UE context release message receives subsequent to the data collection update message from the target NG-RAN node.

A dynamic resource management method, an intelligent terminal and a storage medium

The application relates to a dynamic resource management method, an intelligent terminal and a storage medium, and the method comprises the following steps: acquiring the resource types of each to-be-loaded dynamic resource, classifying all the to-be-loaded dynamic resources according to the resource types, obtaining a plurality of resource types and a plurality of to-be-loaded dynamic resources under each resource type, allocating a storage folder to the plurality of to-be-loaded dynamic resources under each resource type, acquiring the reference quantity of each to-be-loaded dynamic resource in each storage folder in real time, encoding the to-be-loaded dynamic resources based on the reference quantity, obtaining the reference code of each to-be-loaded dynamic resource, marking the to-be-loaded dynamic resource as a release resource when the reference code is 0, releasing the release resource based on a preset release program, and starting a loading process. The application has the effect of effectively improving the efficiency of loading dynamic resources.

Detecting end of traffic at a user equipment

A method and device for detecting an end of data traffic at a user equipment (UE). A method performed by the UE comprises determining whether the UE is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state. When the UE is in the RRC connected state, the method includes performing a link management procedure that includes (i) a link release condition procedure for determining whether a link release condition is satisfied and (ii) a link release procedure for releasing a link early and reducing UE power consumption. When the UE is not in the RRC connected state, the method includes not performing the link management procedure.

An apparatus configured to detect, in downlink control information (DCI), an indication that a serving cell is to be switched off, adjust radio resource management (RRM) measurements to speed up neighbor cell measurements or trigger a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment or RRC release procedure, and switch from the serving cell to a neighbor cell in a handover (HO) procedure, a conditional handover (CHO) procedure, or an RRC re-establishment.

User equipment and method for processing protocol data unit session quality of service rules

A user equipment (UE) has a transceiver and a processor coupled with the transceiver. The processor controls the transceiver to receive a protocol data unit (PDU) session for modifying a non-access stratum (NAS) message from a core network. The processor determines whether a quality of service (QoS) rule resulting from the modification of the PDU session is associated with a guaranteed bit rate (GBR) QoS flow of the PDU session and has no QoS flow description. The processor initiates a PDU session release process by controlling the transceiver to send a PDU session release request message to the core network when the QoS rule resulting from the modification of the PDU session is associated with a GBR QoS flow of the PDU session and has no QoS flow description, and the QoS rule is a default QoS rule.

Methods and apparatus for handling emergency services fallback and NAS signaling connection release procedure in network slicing in mobile communications

Techniques pertaining to handling emergency services fallback and non-access-stratum (NAS) signaling connection release procedure in network slicing in mobile communications are described. An apparatus (e.g., a user equipment (UE) ) receives a registration accept message from a network while there is a request by the apparatus to perform an emergency services fallback procedure. In response to the registration accept message meeting a network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) -related condition, the apparatus performs a registration procedure or a service request procedure for the emergency services fallback procedure. When the apparatus detects a condition before an ongoing registration procedure for mobility and periodic registration update with the network has been completed, the apparatus performs either or both of the following: (a) ignoring a network slide-specific authentication command message; and (b) proceeding with the ongoing registration procedure for mobility and periodic registration update.

Managing stale packet data unit session in a telecommunication network

PCT designated stageWO2026043211A1Connection managementTransmissionTelecom networkRelease procedure
Embodiments herein provide a method and system for managing stale PDU session in a telecommunication network. The method includes receiving, by a source AMF or a source MME, a bearer context request message from a target MME to retrieve user information. The source AMF or the source MME identifies an inactive PDU session from the plurality of PDU sessions based on the EPS bearer status. The source AMF or a source MME deactivates the at least one inactive PDU session by initiating a PDU session release procedure. The source AMF or the source MME generates a bearer context response message by including PDN connection information for only the at least one active PDU session. Further the source AMF or the source MME transmits the bearer context response message to the target MME upon completion of the PDU session release procedure.

Method and device for operating terminal in wireless communication system

A method of operating an access management function (AMF) in a wireless communication system may comprise performing registration for first access with a first type and second access with a second type and establishing a multiple access (MA) PDU session based on at least one first protocol data unit (PDU) session for the first access with the first type and at least one second PDU session for the second access with the second type, receiving a registration request message from a terminal based on access switching, the registration request message including information on a list of PDU sessions to be activated, and performing registration for third access with the second type based on the access switching and performing an access network (AN) release procedure for the second access with the second type after performing activation of a PDU session to be switched to the third access with the second type.

Enhanced handling of 5GSM procedure collision

A method for handling a collision of a UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure and a network-requested PDU session release procedure is proposed. When a PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST message indicates that the UE-requested PDU session establishment request procedure is to handover an existing PDU session between 5G 3GPP access and 5G non-3GPP access, the UE proceeds with the network-requested PDU session release procedure and aborts the UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure. Otherwise, the UE ignores a received PDU SESSION RELEASE COMMAND message and proceeds with the UE-requested PDU session establishment procedure.
