Embodiment Construction

[0039] In FIG. 1 , an x-ray source 1 and a matrix detector 2 are mounted on a rotor R of a support (not shown here) which is rotatable about the z-axis Z. The matrix detector 2 comprises a plurality of rows 3 extending in the direction of rotation [phi], wherein each row 3 consists of a plurality of adjacently arranged detector elements 4 . The depth of the matrix detector 2 formed by the rows 3 adjacent in the z direction is referred to as the row depth in the context of the present invention.

[0040] A continuously movable patient couch 5 is arranged parallel to the z-axis Z inside the rotor R, on which a body 6 to be examined, for example the body of a patient, is accommodated. An evaluation electronics 7 connected downstream of the matrix detector 2 is connected to a computer 8 . Also connected to the computer 8 is a display 9 as well as input devices, not shown in detail here, such as a keyboard and / or a mouse. Furthermore, the computer 8 has a control device 10 which ...

Abstract

A method for producing a first shadow image with the aid of an X ray computer tomograph at a prescribed first angular position is disclosed. In order to reduce the applied dose, in at least one embodiment the X ray source is operated in a pulsed fashion only when traversing a prescribed sector including the first angular position. Further, when the prescribed first angular position is reached, a first X ray pulse is generated.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an X-ray computed tomography apparatus, in particular to an X-ray computed tomography apparatus, which includes: a bracket on which an X-ray source is installed in a manner that can rotate around the z-axis and is opposite to it arranging a matrix detector; moving means for continuously moving the body to be examined inside the support in a direction parallel to the z-axis so that the x-ray source can be used to perform a helical movement relative to the body, and X-ray radiation can be used to see through the body at a predetermined first angular position of the X-ray source; the conversion device is used to convert the signal collected by the matrix detector at the first angular position into a corresponding data set , and a first image generating device for generating a first projection image using at least one such data set. [0002] The invention also relates to a method for operating an X-ray computed tomography ap...
