The method includes three steps; firstly, the method determines one subpixel on a LCD screen belongs to which raster unit control range; secondly, according to the arrangement of the subpixels of each raster unit, the view of each viewpoint is subsampled; thirdly, the subsampled image information of each viewpoint is arranged to compose an auto-stereoscopic display image. By the embodiment of the present invention, good synthesis effect and stereoscopic impressions can be obtained, and the subjective evaluation of several observers further verifies the validity of the universal synthesis method. The universal multi-viewpoint tridimensional image synthesis method can be widely applied to raster LCD multi-viewpoint auto-stereoscopic display devices and help to promote the industrialization of the devices.
