Abstract

A fusing unit which is provided on a printing path, and which fuses an image onto a printing medium, includes: a heating roller having a core member, a rubber layer which is formed to have a predetermined thickness on an outer circumference of the core member, a release layer which is formed on the outer surface of the rubber layer and prevents the printing medium from being adhered to the heating roller during a fusing process, and a heating coil which is embedded inside the rubber layer and applies heat to the rubber layer; a pressing roller which is disposed to face the heating roller, and presses the printing medium in collaboration with the heating roller; and an elastic member which elastically biases the pressing roller toward the heating roller and forms a fusing nip to have a predetermined width between the heating roller and the pressing roller.
