Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid crystal display and a public voltage regulating method. The liquid crystal display comprises an LCD panel, a scan driver circuit, a data driver circuit and a controlcircuit. The LCD panel comprises a plurality of mutually parallel scanning lines, a plurality of mutually parallel data lines which intersect with the scanning lines in an insulated way, a plurality of thin-film transistors which are arranged between the intersection of the scanning lines and the data lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes and a plurality of public electrodes which are opposite tothe pixel electrodes. The scan driver circuit is used for providing scanning signals for the scanning lines and the data driver circuit is used for providing grey scale voltage for the data lines; and the control circuit is used for regulating the voltage of the public electrodes according to image signals.
