[0067] 1, three separation tanks of the present invention are used as the separator of three-phase separation

[0068] see Figure 4 , schematically shows the application of a separation tank to separate well production fluid streams including oil, gas and water.

[0069] The application consists of three separation tanks 1, 1', 1" of the invention. The first outlet 4 of the tank 1 is used for oil and gas and is connected with the inlet 2' on the tank 1'. Likewise, the second outlet of the tank 1 3 is for water (with very little oil vapor) and connects to inlet 2" on tank 1".

[0070] Well fluid separated from the wellhead is directed to tank 1 via inlet 2 . In Tank 1, the fluid is separated into an oil-gas phase and an aqueous phase. The oil-gas phase is withdrawn from the tank 1 via the first outlet 4 and directed to the tank 1' via the inlet 2'. The aqueous phase (with a very small amount of oil vapor) is withdrawn from the tank 1 via the second outlet 3 and directed to...

Abstract

A separator tank comprises an essentially cylindrical vertical tank (1) having an upper part (6) and a lower part (7), a tangentially arranged inlet (2) for fluid in the upper part of the tank, at least one first outlet (4) in the upper part of the tank, at least one second outlet (3) in the lower part of the tank, and means (12) for calming a stream around the second outlet. An inner annular wall (5) has a first opening (8) at an up per end of said inner annular wall to allow communication between the upper part and the lower part of the tank. The separator tank comprises a rod-shaped vortex eye breaker (11) extending vertically at the centre of the tank in order to improve the capacity of the tank.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a separation tank for separating fluids including water, oil and gas, the separation tank comprises a substantially cylindrical vertical tank having an upper part and a lower part, a fluid inlet arranged tangentially in the upper part of the tank, an inner Annular wall, at least one first outlet at the upper part of the tank, at least one second outlet at the lower part of the tank and means for stabilizing fluid flow around the second outlet; said inner annular wall has a first opening at its upper end to allow Communication between the upper and lower parts of the tank. Background technique [0002] Such a separator tank is described and shown in the applicant's WO2005 / 079946, wherein the inner annular wall is cylindrical and the means for statically stabilizing the fluid flow around the second outlet is a disc-shaped plate, which is placed in Extending opposite to the second outlet at a certain distance above the second out...
