Abstract

The invention relates to an openable upturning type protection helmet preferably suitable for motorcycle driver. According to the invention, the helmet includes a housing connected to a jaw protection component by at least a connecting mechanism, the jaw protection component can move relative with the housing by the connecting mechanism. The connecting mechanism includes a first connecting element connected to the housing, and a second connecting element connected to the jaw protection component. The connecting mechanism also includes a pair of hinges, each hinge has a first end and permanently connected to a connecting element and a second end inserted in corresponding rail plate in another connecting element. The rail plate forms that the hinges can move inside at least, such that the relative displacement of the first connecting element relative to the second connecting element between the first and the second operating position can be determined, the first and the second operating position are respectively corresponding to opening and closing positions of the helmet.
