[0014] Embodiments are described with reference to certain linear electric motor (LEM) pump assemblies, particularly linear electric motor (LEM) pump assemblies used in oilfield cementing operations. However, other oilfield operations may also use the embodiments of the LEM pump assembly described herein. For example, the LEM pump assemblies described herein may be used in fracturing, drilling, dosing, and other oilfield fluid transfer operations. Regardless, the embodiments described herein include the use of LEMs to drive oilfield pump assemblies, as opposed to crankshaft or hydraulically driven technology, thereby potentially reducing equipment part count and maintenance costs, and increases the precision and control of fluid delivery.
