Problems solved by technology

These two types of processing methods either ignore the perceptual differences of ITD in different operating units, wasting the parameter encoding bit rate, or do not process the perception information of binaural intensity differences at the cost of encoding sound quality degradation, thus making encoding There is a large amount of subjective redundant information that cannot be removed in the signal, which reduces the coding and compression efficiency

Embodiment Construction

[0028] The present invention provides a method for measuring critical perception characteristics of binaural time difference ITD at different loudness levels and different frequencies, comprising the following steps:

[0029] Step 1, determine the selection of each loudness level by the loudness selection unit, determine the frequency band division rule and the frequency of all test tones by the frequency selection unit;

[0030] In this step, the frequency band division rule and the frequencies of all test tones are determined, and each loudness level to be tested in the experiment is determined. The whole frequency band is divided into 24 Bark bands by adopting the division rules of Bark bands, and the center frequency of each Bark band is selected as the frequency of the test tone;

[0031] Step 2, the loudness selected in step 1 is converted into sound pressure level by the original sound production unit, and the original sound under each loudness level and each frequency ...

Abstract

In spatial audio coding, interaural time difference is one of the important parameters for an auditory system to identify sound emanate direction. The invention discloses a method for measuring the critical perception characteristic of the interaural time difference (hereinafter referred to as ITD) parameters; the method comprises the following steps: a partitioning rule of Bark frequency bands is adopted for the test source, the center frequency of the Bark frequency bands is chosen as an original audio frequency, meanwhile, the original audio maintains a constant sound pressure level; then the gradient test sound at the listening position is produced by a method for equidistantly or nonlinearly changing an ITD value according to the perception principle of the ITD; finally, a critical perception value JND of the ITD parameters is obtained by a subjective test method. The method realizes quantitative analysis of the ITD critical perception characteristic of signals with the frequencies ranging from 20Hz to 20KHz, solves the defect that only qualitative description exists in the traditional ITD characteristic analysis, and solves the problem of removing the subjective redundancy of the ITD parameters from the spatial audio coding, which are beneficial for optimization analysis.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The present invention relates to a method and device for measuring critical perception characteristics of binaural time difference, more particularly, to a method and device for measuring critical perception characteristics of binaural time difference parameters extracted in spatial audio coding. Background technique: [0002] In spatial audio coding technology, spatial parameters express the spatial information contained in multi-channel audio including stereo. Interaural Time Difference, hereinafter referred to as ITD, is one of the more important spatial parameters, which expresses the influence of the time difference between channels on the direction of sound source. To put it simply, when the sound from the sound source reaches the left ear and the right ear of a person, there is a sequential process, and this time difference is the binaural time difference. Its principle is: if a sound reaches both ears at the same time, the listener will feel ...
