example 1

[0062] The structure of example 1 plant display device

[0063] it's here figure 1 and 2 In the exemplary embodiment shown, the decorative display device for vertical cultivation of plants comprises a cultivation support 1 positioned above a water reservoir 4 connected to a frame 2 . The frame 2 delimits a window 3 in a substantially vertical plane before cultivating the front face of the support 1 .

[0064] The water reservoir 4 comprises a watertight pan made of anti-corrosion material mounted on the bottom of the frame 2 . The reservoir is provided with support bars 18 at its base for holding the device on furniture. On the reservoir is mounted a box 17 which protects the cultivation support by keeping it out of sight and preventing it from coming into contact with the wall. The water reservoir is provided with a buoy 16 which moves according to the water level and is visible on the side of the pan.

[0070] Example 2—specific embodiment

[0071] As mentioned above, multiple water reservoirs and cultivation supports can be assembled side by side behind a single frame. The arrangement of these devices must take into account the size constraints and the final weight of the device.

[0072] Three examples are described in detail here. The frame is made of stained wood and the water reservoir is made of molded plastic. Bag is made of polypropylene (dimensions: 19.5 x 22cm). The bags are filled with horticultural compost and placed inside a molded plastic frame structure such as Figure 5 shown. The water-injected core is made of cotton batting with a diameter of 1.5mm and consists of 3 strands with a diameter of 0.5cm forming a network of 90cm within each bag.

[0074] Frame Dimensions: Outside 31 x 31cm

[0075] Inside 16 x 16cm

[0076] Width 7.5cm

[0077] Thickness minimum 1cm

[0103] Example 3 - Breeding

[0104] The prototypes used for the trials had pans with a capacity of 1 to 3 liters, which ensured water supply for 3 to 10 days, depending on prevailing conditions (mainly heat). The bags used had 1.3 liters of medium and 3 to 6 plants were placed in each bag. Keep the monitoring of the plants well watered (watered) to a strict minimum, keeping the water in the tray is sufficient.

[0105] Various plant varieties commonly used for decoration were experimented with. The plants were found to adapt better. Over 90 species of plants are installed in the installation in various combinations. Only a few plants failed to survive after 6 months, but for reasons not related to the non-invented device itself: either unsuitable medium or incompatibility with the environment used for other plants. Thus, exhibiting a success rate of greater than 95%, which is considered to be higher than that normally obtained under traditional breeding.

Abstract

The subject of the invention is a device for decorative purposes, for the vertical cultivation of plants, comprising: i) a cultivation support containing a cultivation substrate, and having holes on the front face thereof for the opening out of the above-ground part of the plants, ii) a rigid frame extending in a substantially vertical plane, defining a window in the front face of the cultivation support, and iii) a water reservoir, the cultivation support being placed over the water reservoir, and comprising at least one hydrophilic wick extending from the cultivation substrate to the water reservoir tank. The cultivation support is hydrated by a continuous supply of water by means of one or more hydrophilic wicks immersed in the reservoir. It may comprise an internal framework to give it rigidity and to prevent settling of the substrate in the lower part of said support. A method for obtaining such a plant box is also claimed.

Description

technical field [0001] This invention relates to indoor plant growing devices and, more particularly, to decorative devices with integrated watering systems. [0002] Its purpose is to provide a decorative display for vertical cultivation of plants comprising a cultivation support and a water reservoir associated with a frame in which the cultivation support is fed by a continuous water supply via an absorbent core immersed in the reservoir (padding) network water injection. A method for obtaining the display is also claimed. Background technique [0003] Interior decorations often use plants grown mostly in pots or trays filled with soil or other suitable medium. To facilitate regular watering of the plants, these containers are equipped with water reservoirs at the bottom and electric pumps connected to a drip system. [0004] Originally, plant assemblies are arranged in display form, consisting of a substantially vertical medium surrounded by a frame, which is fixed to...
