Embodiment Construction

[0020] figure 2 An example of an embodiment of a roller 1 for applying contact pressure to one or more sheets of material is shown. This exploded view will be used to explain possible design options and methods of operation.

[0021] exist figure 2 , axis 2 is hollow. The shaft 2 has a cutout in the downward direction. The isolation layer 5 is inserted into the shaft 2 and mounted to the shaft 2 . The tube 4 is located inside the shaft 2 such that the insulating layer 5 is located between the shaft 2 and the tube 4 . The insulating layer 5 can also serve as a protection for the tube 4 . It can also be used to transfer the force-energy tube 4 to the disk 3.

[0022] The isolation layer 4 can be at least partly made of flexible metal or foil. In some embodiments, the isolation layer 4 may comprise spring steel comb plates that transmit the force from the tube 4 to the disc 3 . Such spring steel comb plates allow an additional, predefined force to be transmitted to the ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a roller for applying contact pressure to sheets of material. The invention descrives the rooler for applying contact pressure to sheets of material and a using method thereof. According to one embodiment, the roller is provided with a roller shaft which are provided with a plurality of discs. The discs can move radially and apply the contact pressure to one or a plurality of material sheets. The contact pressure of the discs are pneumatically controlled. The rollers are specifically used for the lamination processing of rubber material sheet in the manufacturing of tyre.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to rollers for applying pressure to one or more sheets of material. Background technique [0002] In tire manufacturing, materials are joined together. To do this, one rubber sheet is pressed onto the other with suitable pressure. This allows the pieces to be permanently joined together. Often, the sheets to be joined together are not flush and flat. As a result, narrow strips must be regularly joined to much wider sheets. The required pressure is created by lamination rollers. Lamination rolls in which a plurality of individual discs are mounted to a shaft are known. [0003] figure 1 A schematic three-dimensional view of such a known lamination roll is shown in . Shown are multiple discs mounted to the shaft. Each disc is coated with a non-stick material, and the discs are free to rotate independently of each other on the shaft. Each disc also has a centrally located hole that is significantly larger than the di...
