[0153] (1) Bladder cancer cell lines and tissue samples
[0154] Human bladder cancer cell lines HT1197, UM-UC-3, J82, HT1376, SW780 and RT4 were purchased from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC; Rockville, MD). The bladder cancer cell lines COS7 and NIH3T3 cells used were all monolayer cultured in appropriate media, i.e. EMEM containing 0.1 mM essential amino acids (Roche), 1 mM sodium pyruvate (Roche) for HT1197, UMUC3, J82 and HT1376 ( Sigma, St. Louis, MO); L-15 was used for SW780; McCoy's 5a (sigma) was used for RT-4; Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) was used for COS7 and NIH3T3. Each medium was supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (Cansera) and 1% antibiotic / antifungal solution (Sigma). SW 780 cells in the absence of CO 2 maintained at 37°C in a humidified air atmosphere. Other cell lines in 5% CO 2 maintained at 37°C in a humidified air atmosphere.
