Abstract

There is provided an operating device capable of performing illumination with a highly decorative effect by a simple structure using an already existing member. The operating device comprises an operation panel (10) having an operation part window (12) and operation parts (20A, 20C, 20E, 30) provided inside the window (12). An illumination light source is also provided on the backside of the operation panel (10). Light emitted from this illumination light source is irradiated from the backside of the operation parts toward a panel surface at the periphery of the operation part window (12) by a light guiding system comprising, for example, a light guiding material (60).
