The method for lowering the noise of the optical amplifier comprises the following steps that: a controller in an optical relay determines wavelength shift information on uplink optical signal sent by ONU; according to the wavelength shift information, the control signal is generated; according to the control signal, an adjustable narrow band filter in the optical relay adjusts the central wavelength to be consistent with the wavelength of the uplink optical signal sent by the ONU; and the amplified uplink optical signal sent by the ONU is filtered, and the filtered optical signal is sent to OLT. The optical access equipment comprises the optical relay and an optical circuit terminal. The method can reduce the influence of the OA noise on the OLT receiver under a condition of not affecting the amplifying performance of OA on the uplink optical signal.
