Abstract

The invention provides a method for determining whether a liquid crystal droplet drops, which includes a first step as enabling the control unit to send signal to the sensor; a second step as enablingthe sensor to determine the detection value by the light quantity emitted into the sensor when the signal is received; a third step as enabling the sensor to obtain the reference value by the detection value; a forth step as inputting the reference value to the sensor; and a fifth step as enable the control unit to determine whether liquid crystal droplets drop based on the reference value. The invention has advantages that whether a droplet of liquid crystal is discharged through the nozzle can be determined in a precise manner; time is saved for obtaining the reference value of the sensor,and inputting the obtained reference value to the signal processing unit; and furthermore, the reference value of the sensor for detecting the liquid crystal droplets is obtained with the need of actually discharing the droplets.
