Abstract

The invention relates to the field of power system devices, in particular to a test method for a novel converter valve module. Before each converter valve leaves a factory, a routine test needs to be performed, wherein the most important item in the routine test is a functional test which is used for checking whether the thyristor level electric wiring of the converter valve module and thyristor electric equipment (TE) are normal. The invention discloses a novel design method for the functional test. A test circuit comprises an alternating current power supply, an alternating current filter, an isolating switch, a voltage regulator, an isolating transformer, a current limiting resistor, an insulated grid bipolar-type power tubes (IGBTs) which are connected in series positively and negatively, an impulse voltage generator and a test platform. The work of the test circuit is that: unified control is performed through the test platform; a test voltage is provided for a thyristor level by the alternating current system circuit; the on-off state of a loop is controlled by the IGBTs so that the voltage and the current applied to the thyristor level change; and the impulse voltage generator is used for providing an impulse voltage for the thyristor level.
