Abstract

The invention relates to a data backup method. The method comprises the following steps of: selecting at least one E-mail account according to an account selecting signal; manufacturing a backup file; generating at least one E-mail which respectively comprises the backup file and an E-mail subject; and sending the at least E-mail to an E-mail server corresponding to the at least one E-mail account. In the data backup method, backup data is added to the E-mails so as to be stored in the E-mail server without in a specific format, so that the file operation failure risk of the pre-backup data during backing up is decreased, and the reliability and the diversity of backup file storage during data reduction are enhanced.
