This helps you quickly interpret patents by identifying the three key elements:
Problems solved by technology
Method used
Benefits of technology
Problems solved by technology
However, this has traditionally not been feasible because the extremely small size of the lens and imaging surface in miniature cameras prevents manual adjustment of the camera
Furthermore, it is not possible to include multiple modules (each performing a separate function) to be positioned axially within the optics chain, since miniature camera applications have minimal space constraints

Abstract
The present invention relates to an autofocus / zoom shutter with dual blade functionality. Specifically, a miniature camera module includes: a module frame, which includes a surface, wherein a pipe passes through the surface, thereby allowing light to pass through the surface via the pipe; a first blade, coupled to the module frame, and configured for a shaft rotates between an open position and a closed position in which the conduit is completely uncovered when the first vane is in the open position and at least partially shields the conduit when the first vane is in the closed position; a first solenoid coupled to to the module frame; and a first pin coupled to the first solenoid, wherein actuation of the first solenoid causes the first pin to rotate the first vane from the open position to the closed position. In some embodiments, the module includes additional vanes, solenoids and pins.
