The method comprises the following steps of: providing an input unit for receiving user touch input and an interface unit; acquiring directions of other mobile electronic devices relative to the mobile electronic device from a server through the interface unit; sensing sliding of a user finger, and determining the user finger sliding direction; comparing the user finger sliding direction and the directions of other mobile electronic devices relative to the mobile electronic device, and determining the mobile electronic device with minimum error with the user finger sliding direction as a receiving mobile electronic device; and transferring a file to the receiving mobile electronic device. The invention also provides the mobile electronic device with the file transferring function.
