Abstract

The invention discloses a network selection method and equipment, belonging to the field of wireless communication. The method comprises the following steps: residing a CS (circuit-switched) domain service in a first network preferentially, and preferentially bearing the CS domain service by virtue of the first network; preferentially residing a PS(packet switched domain) domain service in a second network, and preferentially bearing the PS domain service by virtue of the second network, wherein compared with the second network, the first network has lower transmission rate and better signal coverage; reporting a single-card double-standby terminal identification when building the PS domain service; and reselecting the PS domain service to the first network when the communication quality of the second network not meet the PS domain service requirement in the PS domain service process based on the single-card double-standby terminal reselection parameters distributed by the second network. According to technical scheme provided by the invention, the service unreachable problem of the terminal in network reselection is solved, the service continuity of the terminal in network reselection is ensured, and especially the service continuity of the single-card double-standby terminal in PS service network reselection is ensured.
