The method comprises the following steps of: reading a real-time traffic information release state of a road; judging whether released real-time traffic information is same as real-time traffic information to be released of the road or not if the release state is that the real-time traffic information of the road is released; and discarding the real-time traffic information to be released if the released real-time traffic information is same as the real-time traffic information to be released of the road. The screening device comprises a release state judgment unit, a release content judgment unit and an information discarding unit, wherein the release state judgment unit is used for reading the real-time traffic information release state of the road and triggering the release content judgment unit if the release state is that the real-time traffic information of the road is released; the release content judgment unit is used for judging whether the released real-time traffic information is same as the real-time traffic information to be released of the road or not; and the information discarding unit is used for discarding the real-time traffic information to be released which is same as the released real-time traffic information.
