The invention provides a thermal expansion valve, which comprises a valve body; the valve body is provided with a valve chamber and a low pressure side passage, wherein the valve chamber passes through a high pressure side passage, a high pressure refrigerant flows into the valve chamber, the low pressure side passage flows out from the valve chamber and passes through a valve hole, and a low pressure refrigerant flows out of the low pressure side passage; the thermal expansion valve also comprises a spherical valve core, a temperature sensing driving part, a compression coil spring and an adjusting seat, wherein the spherical valve core is arranged at the upstream side of the valve hole; the temperature sensing driving part is positioned at the upper end of the valve body and used for driving a transmission rod which enables the valve core to move to the valve opening direction; the compression coil spring is arranged in the valve chamber and used for pushing the valve core to the valve closing direction; the adjusting seat is arranged in the valve chamber of the valve body and used for adjusting the pre-tightening force of the compression coil spring; the flow of the refrigerantflowing through the valve hole is adjusted through the valve core; and the adjusting seat is provided with an O-shaped ring in contact with the inner surface of the valve chamber, the O-shaped ring is assembled in an annular concave part on the peripheral surface of the adjusting seat, and meanwhile, the annular concave part consists of walls with different thicknesses.
