Abstract

A method, system, and computer program product for a Wireless Mobile Display Digital Interface (WMDDI) association that allows more than one multicast group to be established and joined based on host and client capabilities to Facilitates interoperability of multiple client devices. The protocol implements the capability of layered multicast transport applications and the exchange and update of multicast addresses. The system is used to interoperate devices with different capabilities and enable efficient transmission by using different multicast addresses mapped to different layers of a bitstream. The protocol adapts to changes in capabilities, multicast address attach / release, and link quality.
