Abstract

The invention discloses a data compressing and transmitting method based on a WLAN (wireless local area network), and the method comprises the following steps of: obtaining data compression algorithms supported by all APs (access points) by virtue of any one STA (static timing analyzer); sending an association or reassociation message of adding a data compression supporting label and a selected self-supporting data compression algorithm, and notifying the data compression algorithm to be associated and to be negotiated by the APs, wherein the selected data compression algorithm is one of the data compression algorithms supported by the APs; receiving an association response message carrying the data compression supporting label and the corresponding data compression algorithm and sent by the APs; and if the message is necessary to be sent to the APs at present, adding the label of carrying out data compression into the message, compressing a load by adopting the negotiated compression algorithm, and sending the load.
