Abstract

The system has a transport mechanism (1) movable in x-, y- and z-directions and comprising a sample collector (3) i.e. needle, for collecting samples (4), where the sample collector is movable in the z-direction. A processing apparatus (6) e.g. filter, movable in the z-direction processes the samples. The sample collector stays in fluid connection with the processing apparatus via connecting lines (11, 12). A fluid container is connected with the processing apparatus via a pumping mechanism (13). An independent claim is also included for a method for processing samples.
