Embodiment Construction

[0027] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings.

[0028] figure 1 It is a configuration diagram showing an example of the welding system according to the embodiment of the present invention.

[0029] The arc welding system A1 according to the present embodiment includes a welding robot 1 , a robot control device 2 , and a welding power source device 3 . The welding robot 1 automatically performs arc welding on the base material W, for example. The welding robot 1 includes: a base member 11 , a plurality of arms 12 , a plurality of motors 13 , a welding torch 14 , a welding wire feeding device 16 , and a crimping guide 19 .

[0030] The base member 11 is fixed to an appropriate place such as the ground. Each arm 12 is connected to the base member 11 via a shaft. The welding torch 14 guides the consumable electrode 15 (welding wire) to a predetermined position near the base material W. As shown in FIG. ...

Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc welding method and an arc welding system which can suppress the generation of a spatter over a whole period of performing welding, and can generate an arc quickly over a whole period of performing welding. SOLUTION: The arc welding method includes each step of; generating an arc a1 between a consumable electrode 15 and a base material W by flowing a welding current Iw from the consumable electrode 15 to the base material W during each arc start period T1; transferring welding droplets from the consumable electrode 15 to the base material W during each welding droplet transferring period T2; continuing the state that the arc a1 between the consumable electrode 15 and the base material W is stopped during each arc stopping period T3; and relatively moving a welding torch holding the consumable electrode 15 along the base material W in a welding direction to the base material W during each arc stopping period T3, wherein the maximum value of the absolute value of the welding current Iw in each arc start period T1 is decreased in incremental steps during a constant period from the time of start of welding. Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an arc welding method, a welding power supply device and an arc welding system. Background technique [0002] Conventionally, there is known a welding method that repeats a unit welding period including an arc generation period, a droplet transfer period, and an arc stop period (for example, refer to Patent Document 1). This welding method is called needle pulse welding. During arc generation in this welding method, if the consumable electrode comes into contact with the base material at a reduced feed speed, a large welding current flows between the consumable electrode and the base material. As a result, the tip of the consumable electrode melts rapidly, and an arc occurs between the consumable electrode and the base material. Thereafter, in the droplet transfer period, a droplet transfers from the consumable electrode to the base material while an arc is generated between the consumable electrode and the base material.
