The method comprises the following steps of: carrying out feature extraction on an input face image by using a method combining dual-tree complex wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform; carrying out dimension reduction on an extracted feature vector X by using a supervised locally linear embedding method; carrying out cosine similarity calculation on the feature vector of the tested face image and the feature vectors of training set images; and setting the input image and a training image with highest similarity into one group so as to obtain a face recognition result. By utilizing the method combining dual-tree complex wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform, multidirectional and abundant face feature extraction can be realized and dimension reduction can be realized quickly, thereby realizing accurate and efficient face recognition.
